The Pittsburgh Penguins made two trades on Tuesday, adding a forward and adding additional draft picks. The Pens sent prospect Jordan Frasca to Nashville in exchange for center/right winger Cody Glass, along with a third-round pick next season and a 2026 sixth-round pick. Glass became expendable for the Predators after they signed two free agent forwards, including Steven Stamko. Glass is entering the final year of his contract, and comes in with a $2.5 million cap hit. He was the sixth overall selection in the 2017 NHL draft, becoming the first-ever draft pick of the expansion Vegas Golden Knights. Glass had a career-high 14 goals and 35 points two years ago, but was limited due to injuries last season. He had six goals and 13 points in just 41 games.
The first trade of the day Kyle Dubas made was with the St. Louis Blues. The Pens sent their second-round pick in 2025 and a fifth-round pick in 2026, for the Blues third-round pick next year, but also their second-round selection in 2026. The move dropped the Penguins back a round next year, but moved them up three spots into a premium round the following year.
