The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 in overtime last night. The Penguins won the game after the Golden Knights tied the game at 2-2 in the final seven seconds of regulation. Sidney Crosby scored twice and Tristan Jarry stopped 35 of 37 shots in net. The Penguins managed only 17 shots in the game. Erik Karlsson scored the game-winner.
For Karlsson it was his 12th career overtime goal and 40th career overtime point–that is the most in NHL history by a defenseman.
The Pens host the St. Louis Blues Thursday.
