The Pittsburgh Penguins have made a long-anticipated trade of top goaltender Tristan Jarry, sending him and young forward Sam Poulin to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for goaltender Stuart Skinner, defenseman Brett Kulak and Edmonton’s 2029 second-round draft pick.
The move frees the Penguins of their more than $25 million contract given to Jarry more than two years ago.
Jarry was the Penguins second-round draft pick in 2013. He goes to a team that played in the Stanley Cup final the past two seasons, but haven’t been able to hoist the Cup with Skinner in goal.
