The Pittsburgh Penguins made a big roster move on Saturday, as the team traded Phil Kessel to the Arizona Coyotes.
As part of the trade, the Coyotes also receive defenseman Dane Birks and a fourth round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft. In return, the Pens will receive center Alex Galchenyuk and defenseman Pierre-Oliver Joseph.
The 31-year-old Kessel will be reunited with former Penguin player and assistant coach Rick Tocchet, who is the head coach of the Coyotes. During his time with the Penguins, Kessel won two Stanley Cup Championships, and averaged one point per game last season.
