Penn Power says they are continuing to upgrade infrastructure as part of their attempt to modernize its electrical system.
Officials say this is a part of a four year plan that started last year in hopes to limit the number and duration of power outages.
The work is centered in Butler and surrounding counties. Penn Power says the power lines that are being modernized serve over 25,000 customers in the region.
Equipment upgrades are also being completed on two substations in the region—with the expectation that it will help prevent power outages.
