Online courses beginning later this week will provide information about horse-assisted therapy as well as another about community planning.
Penn State Extension is offering the first webinar titled “Healing Through Horses: Using Horses in Therapeutic Settings” Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. Presenters will discuss the unique characteristics of horses that provide benefits in various kinds of therapies. This is a free program but registration is required to receive access since space is limited.
The second webinar will also take place Wednesday and is titled “Finding the Right Audience”. For 75 minutes beginning at noon, a consultant, evaluation specialist, and educator will teach participants about how planners can seek support from community-based organizations by providing updates on planning initiatives and seeking feedback. Registration is $15 for this program of $50 for the complete five session series by visiting the Penn State Extension website.
