Penn State Extension is offering an online program later this week about the importance of giving community members a voice in projects that might be driven by those outside of that community.
A 75 minute webinar titled “Norris Square Community Profile: A Process for Community Engagement, Capacity Building, and Equitable Development” will begin at noon Wednesday.
A senior extension educator, an applied research educator, and a research assistant will discuss how the mostly Latino area of Norris Square in Philadelphia worked with the Penn State project team to create a community profile as well as facilitate meaningful dialogue around issues like development, housing, and land use.
This monthly land-use webinar series offered by Penn State Extension for a minor fee will continue through May. This program will be recorded and available for future viewing with more information available on the Penn State Extension website.
