A Penn Township businessman was sentenced to 30 years in prison Tuesday for molesting boys.
James Leroy, 55, of Renfrew, was convicted earlier this year on child exploitation charges and sentenced to prison time followed by lifetime supervised release.
According to information presented at trial, on two different occasions Leroy transported minor boys ages 10 and 13 to Florida and Michigan with the intent to engage in illegal sexual conduct. During these trips, Leroy also allegedly gave the boys alcohol and prescription pills.
The FBI assisted the Butler County District Attorney’s office and Penn Township Police with the investigation.
