The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is looking to engage residents through a program focusing on issues of road safety.
PennDOT is inviting residents to participate in the Safety Citizens Program which encourages participants to answer traffic safety questions in original and creative ways.
Drowsy Driving is the first topic this year and community members can submit a short video, poem, original piece of artwork, or use some other medium to respond to the question of what are the best ways to avoid operating a vehicle while sleepy.
Submissions are due by tomorrow (Monday) and selected submissions will be displayed on PennDOT’s statewide social media platforms. Visit the Safety Citizens portion of PennDOT’s website for more information.
