Motorists should be aware of ongoing road work by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation this week in Middlesex and Clinton Townships.
According to PennDOT, single lane restrictions will be in place on Route 228 near the intersection with Route 8 beginning Monday morning.
Then, beginning Friday at 8 p.m. and continuing for about a week, crews will be closing Route 228 from the intersection with Route 8 to the Old Route 8 North intersection during overnight hours. This will allow for improvements to be made to drainage issues during heavy rains.
Traffic will be detoured from Route 8 using Route 356 to Sarver then back to Route 228.
