The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is beginning early fall road project maintenance work around Butler County this week.
These activities include pipe replacement on Whitestown Road in Butler Township, and bridge deck repair on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.
Patching will be taking place on Route 8 in Center and Brady Townships as well as Route 528 Prospect Road in Forward and Connoquenessing Townships while paving work is planned for Keister and Branchton Roads in Slippery Rock and Cherry Townships along with Boyers and Cemetery Roads in Mercer and Marion Townships.
Brady and Clay Townships will be the site of some shoulder stabilization work along Hallston Road while crack sealing is done on Chicora and West Sunbury Roads. Mowing is planned for Interstate 79 in Worth, Muddy Creek, Lancaster, Jackson, and Cranberry Townships.
