PennDOT says they are planning construction work on a major bridge in Butler.
The General Butler Bridge, which carrier Route 8 into Downtown Butler, will be undergoing a preservation project in 2026.
Details of the project will not be unveiled until next Monday. The public will then have a chance to see PennDOT’s proposed plan and timeline on the project.
The General Butler Bridge was constructed in 2006 in a major project to connect Route 8 more easily into Downtown Butler.
