Students at local high schools still have time to use problem-solving, creative, and strategic-thinking abilities to solve real-world problems.
Submissions for the fifth annual PennDOT Innovations Challenge will continue to be accepted through this Friday.
PennDOT is asking kids in grades 9 through 12 to come up with comprehensive and cost effective public engagement strategies that go beyond current practices in order to more effectively engage with all age groups during transportation planning and project development.
Regional winners will be selected to go to Harrisburg and compete for the state championship and $4,000 to the first place team. Those interested in more information about this contest should visit PennDOT’s website for more details.
