High School students are being encouraged to use problem-solving, creative, and strategic-thinking abilities to solve real-world problems.
Submissions for the third annual PennDOT Innovations Challenge will continue to be accepted through this Friday.
PennDOT and the PA Department of Environmental Protection have teamed up to ask kids in grades 9 through 12 to come up with cost-effective technologies and innovative methods that can be developed in the next 5 to 10 years to control litter along roadways. Regional winners will be selected to go to Harrisburg and compete for the state championship and $3,000 divided between the top three teams.
Those interested in more information about this contest should visit PennDOT’s website for more details.
