A new study shows that roundabouts across the state are reducing the number of crashes and injuries.
Officials say they looked at 26 roundabouts in the state that were built within the last decade, and figures show a 22 percent decline in crashes.
There was also a 100 percent decline in fatal accidents.
While PennDOT officials say a roundabout is not ideal for every intersection, they believe a recent focus on installing more roundabouts have made certain intersections much safer.
