A state agency is offering families and residents of long-term care facilities more information through several upcoming presentations.
The PA Department of Aging’s Office of the Long Term Care Ombudsman is sponsoring a Virtual Family Council meeting from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Speakers from the National Consumer Voice will discuss the rights of long-term care facility residents.
To register for the event, families will have to email jarotz@pa.gov with the exact subject line of “Virtual Family Council.” You will then receive an email with the direct link to the Zoom meeting.
The next virtual meeting will be held on June 15 which is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
Participants will be able to ask questions at both meetings however specific issues involving a particular resident or facility will not be addressed.
