It’s nearly bugling season for elk in northern Pennsylvania and residents once again have the chance to watch the animals in their environment.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission is live streaming the video of rural Elk County through the commission’s website, which provides quality picture and sound of the elks.
The mating call of an elk is called a bugle, and it’s so loud that if a human is too close to the elk when it sounds, it could damage hearing. Residents are also asked not to feed elk or name elk to keep them safe.
Viewers may also see turkeys, deer, and other wildlife on the feed. The cam will continue through the end of bugling season in mid-October.
