The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission is asking for feedback about the current moratorium on utility terminations.
The prohibition on termination of utility service for failure to pay has been in place since shortly after the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in order to protect residents.
However, the PUC will be discussing the possibility of lifting the moratorium at some point in the near future during their meeting scheduled for August 27th.
Concerned individuals and organizations that would like to make their voice be heard on this topic should eFile through the Commission’s website as well as email the Secretary of the Commission directly.
The deadline to submit comments to this conversation is 4:30 p.m. this Tuesday (8/18).
