The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission is encouraging residents to take advantage of the many resources available to help keep utility service affordable.
Every utility that the PUC oversees offers Customer Assistance Programs through which low-income customers could qualify for discounted monthly bills.
Other options to help customers include budget billing, payment plans, hardship funds, and lifeline service for telephone or internet access.
