Pennsylvania is keeping on pace for healthy budget surplus this fiscal year.
According to the April numbers, collections totaled more than $4 billion—which was about $28 million in front of projections.
The overall surplus is now above $1.3 billion. However personal income tax collection is down, which revenue officials say is a direct result of this year’s extension on the tax filing deadline.
Officials though do note that state sales and business tax collection more than made up the different.
