Two prominent Pennsylvania politicians have made public calls for New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez to resign amid indictment charges.
Both Democratic Senators John Fetterman and Bob Casey have addressed the allegations made against the Menendez. Casey released a statement yesterday saying “while he is entitled to the presumption of innocence, serving in public office is a privilege that demands a higher standard of conduct.”
Senator Menendez plans on fighting the allegations and will continue his bid for re-election for 2024. They are three democrats running against him in the primary.
