The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Buffalo Sabres 5-2 last night. The Pens had five different goal scorers, including Sidney Crosby, who netted his 13th goal of the year. The Pens also received goals from two defensemen. Kris Letang netted his sixth of the season. John Marino had his second goal of the year. Tristan Jarry stopped 26 of 28 shots for his 13th victory of the season.
The Pens went 0-for-5 on the power play. They held Buffalo 0-for-3.
The victory moved the Pens to within two points of the second-place Washington Capitals in the East Division.
The Pens host the Sabres again tonight for a 7pm face-off. Pre-game begins on WISR 680am at 6:30pm.
