The Pittsburgh Penguins broke a six-game losing streak with a 7-3 victory over the Ottawa Senators at PPG Paints Arena last night. Bryan Rust led the Pens with a hat trick. Evgeni Malkin had four assists. Sidney Crosby had a goal and two assists. Crosby reached 800 career assists in the game.
Rookie defenseman John Marino returned to the lineup and scored just 48 seconds into the game. Marino played for the first time since suffering three broken bones in his face after being hit by a puck.
The Pens will visit Buffalo Thursday.
