The Pittsburgh Penguins fell 2-1 in overtime last night to the Philadelphia Flyers. The second straight game the Pens have fallen after regulation to Philadelphia. Sidney Crosby scored the Penguins lone goal, giving them a 1-0 lead in the opening period. It was Crosby’s 125th career point against Philadelphia, passing Mario Lemieux’s team record by one. But, the Pens went 0-for-3 on power plays. They are now 0-for-their-last 30. The Pens also 3-4-3 over their last 10 games.
The Pens visit the Tampa Bay Lightning Wednesday for the first of two games in Florida. They visit the Florida Panthers Friday.
