The Pittsburgh Penguins lost 2-1 in overtime to the Seattle Kraken last night. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak. The game was scoreless through two periods before Evgeni Malkin scored his fourth goal of the season in the third period. Seattle tied the game with just under four minutes remaining, and scored the game-winner just over a minute into the overtime. The Pens were outshot 18-4 in the game’s final 20 minutes. Tristan Jarry stopped 27 of 29 shots for the Penguins.
The point the Penguins gained last night has put them into a first-place tie with Carolina and the New York Rangers in the Metropolitan Division. They are back in action tonight when they host Detroit for a 7pm face-off. WISR will join the game following Knoch basketball.
The Pens host the Los Angeles Kings Sunday for a 1pm face-off. Pre-game on WISR will be 12:30pm.
