Pens fire assistant coaching staff

Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Jim Rutherford has wasted no time making staff changes. A day after addressing the media following the Pens elimination from the Stanley Cup playoffs in four games, assistant coaches Jacques Martin, Mark Recchi and Sergei Gonchar were all fired Wednesday. All three had been part of the Penguins staff when the team won Stanley Cup championships in 2016 and 2017.
