The Pittsburgh Penguins ended the Los Angeles Kings three-game winning streak with a 6-1 victory at PPG Paints Arena last night. The Pens had six different goal-scorers in the game. They scored once on a power play, and scored a short-handed goal. Goaltender Tristan Jarry stopped 39 of 40 shots.
The Pens have now scored six goals in each of their three wins this season. Last night’s victory was the 300th in head coach Mike Sullivan’s career. He is the first coach in Penguins franchise history to reach that mark.
Jake Guentzel left the game in the third period after a Kris Letang shot struck him in the face.
