The Pittsburgh Penguins have placed goaltender Tristan Jarry on waivers and have called up rookie Joel Blomqvist. Any team can claim Jarry, but if he clears waivers, he can be sent to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He is currently in the second year of a five-year contract worth more than $5 million per season.
The Pens begin a seven-game road trip in Buffalo Friday.
