One person was killed this morning in an accident on Route 8 in Richland Township, Allegheny County.
Our news partners at WPXI report that the crash happened between a garbage truck and a car around 10 a.m. near Heckert Road—which is just south of the Butler County border.
Police say the driver of the car died in the crash. The truck driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
A portion of Route 8 was closed while crews investigated.
