In case you missed it, we should be getting an early spring.
Thousands of people gathered in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania on Saturday to hear the weather prediction of the groundhog Phil.
Despite the odds, Phil did not see his shadow on, which means that spring should be just around the corner. This is only the 19th time Punxsutawney Phil has predicted an early spring since 1887.
“Every February 2nd, we look forward to celebrating this beloved Pennsylvania tradition with the rest of the world,” said Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf. “Groundhog Day is something you can only find in our commonwealth, and we’re honored to share Phil’s prediction with visitors, residents, and the millions of families watching from their homes.”
The most recent early spring prediction was in 2016.
