The match-up for “Super Bowl 57” has been set after NFL Championship games Sunday. The Philadelphia Eagles will meet the Kansas City Chiefs in Glendale, Arizona February 12th. Both teams were the top seeds in their respective conferences entering the post-season.
The Eagles defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31-7 in the NFC championship game in eastern Pennsylvania. The Eagles scored four rushing touchdowns in the game. The 49ers lost two quarterbacks to injury during the game, when Brock Purdy suffered a broken wrist in the first half and back-up Josh Johnson suffered a concussion.
The Chiefs defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 with a last minute field goal to win their rematch for the AFC title. Kicker Harrison Butker hit a 45-yard field goal with three seconds remaining, as Kansas City topped the Bengal for the first time in three games, including a three-point overtime loss in last year’s conference title game.
The Chiefs have reached the Super Bowl for the third time in the last five years, and will meet head coach Andy Reid’s old team in the Eagles
