The Mercer County woman who became known as the “Pink Hat Lady” during the Capitol Riots on January 6th is now facing nearly five years in prison.
Rachel Powell was sentenced to 57 months in prison, plus three years of supervised release.
Powell was charged after video emerged of her joining a mob during the riot, and also climbing through a broken window into the Capitol building.
Powell earned the pink hat lady moniker because of a pink hat she was wearing during the riot.
U.S. Attorneys argued during the case that she had an “utter lack of remorse” for her actions in the years since the riot.
She is expected to begin her sentence in January.
