A local theater group is staging a classic tale with a purely coincidental connection to a tragic current event.
The Butler County Community College group ‘Pioneer Players’ is performing the Hunchback of Notre Dame at BC3’s Succop Theater on Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m., as well as a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m.
Actor Christian Sandrowsky explains the coincidence of choosing the show before the recent fire that destroyed the iconic structure.
“It just happened to be an odd coincidence – and it’s quite unfortunate it happened this way,” he said, also explaining the cast will dedicate the performance to France.
Tickets will be available at the door. Tickets cost $5 for students and $8 for general admission.
