The Pittsburgh Pirates rallied back to beat the Giants 6-4 Friday night.
Bryan Reynolds hit a two run homerun in the game. The Bucs were down two runs in the seventh inning and managed to score three runs without a single hit. Kevin Newman grounded into what could’ve been a double play, but Stallings hustled hard to beat the throw to second and Newman beat the throw to first. Wilmer Difo drew a walk, and Adam Frazier drew a bases-loaded walk, “driving in” Stallings. Without a hit, the Pirates plated a run. With two outs but the bases still loaded, Ben Gamel hit a weak ground ball to first base and LaMonte Wade Jr fumbled the ball which let in two more runs.
Pirates and Giants play again tonight at 9:05 p.m. You can hear that game on WISR 680am starting at 8:40 p.m. with the pregame show.
