The Pittsburgh Pirates begin their final full week of spring training today with split squad games. The Bucs host Minnesota in Bradenton and visit Detroit in Lakeland, Florida.
The Bucs defeated the New York Yankees 4-3 in Grapefruit League play Sunday. They defeated Baltimore 15-5 Saturday, while the Friday night game in Bradenton ended in an 8-8 tie.
The Pirates begin their regular season a week from Thursday in Miami. Paul Skenes was named the opening-day starter for the Bucs in that game.
The MLB season begins with the Tokyo Series in Japan between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs beginning Tuesday.
The series will be televised on FOX – with coverage at 6:10am Eastern time Tuesday.
