The Pittsburgh Pirates blew a 7-3 lead last night and lost 8-7 in 10-innings to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Bucs scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning after the Cardinals had taken a 3-1 lead. The Cardinals tied the game with four runs in the seventh.
The loss was their 100th of the season. It is the first time since 1954 that the Pirates have lost 100 games in consecutive seasons.
The Pirates and Cardinals will complete their regular season this afternoon at 4:05pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 3:40pm.
