The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Milwaukee Brewers in the second game of a 4-game series in Milwaukee by a score of 8-4.
The Pirates took an early lead when newly-acquired Alfonso Rivas, who would finish with 3 hits, knocked a 3-run home run in the first-inning. Henry Davis would follow with a home run in the second-inning following a Bryan Reynolds RBI-double to make it 6-2.
Reynolds would later go back-to-back with Josh Palacios, each hitting a solo-shot in the 6th inning, making it an 8-3 ball game. Pirates’ bullpen held the Brewers to just 1 run across 5 innings to secure the victory.
