The Pittsburgh Pirates fell on the road to the New York Mets on Saturday night, losing by a final of 3-0.
Leading the Bucs offensively was Kevin Newman, who collected two of the team’s five hits. Trevor Williams started on the mound for the Buccos. He pitched seven innings, and allowed four hits and three runs while striking out seven. Steven Metz was the starting pitcher for the Mets, and he pitched a complete game while striking out seven and allowing no walks.
