The Pittsburgh Pirates are reportedly signing center fielder Michael Taylor to a 1 year $4M deal.
Taylor won the Gold Glove last year in the American League while playing for Minnesota. Taylor hit .220/.278/.442 with 21 home runs, 51 RBIs and 13 stolen bases for the Twins on their way to winning the AL Central.
Taylor was drafted in 2009 and has 95 career home runs. He was also part of the 2019 World Series winning Washington Nationals.
It was also announced that the Pirates plan to sign right handed starting pitcher Domingo German to a minor league deal worth up to $1.5M. German threw the league’s 24th Perfect Game last season on June 28th for the Yankees. He later left the team for alcohol rehab in August.
