The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the New York Mets 7-4 last night. The Pirates accepted 10 walks from Mets pitchers, some of which aided a six-run seventh inning which decided the game. Three Pirates had two hits each and starting pitcher Bailey Falter allowed one earned run while pitching into the sixth inning. In addition to the walks, the Pirates had four extra-base hits.
The Bucs and Mets complete their three-game series this afternoon at 1:10pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 12:45pm.
The Pirates are off tomorrow, then travel to Minnesota for a weekend series. They open a seven-game home-stand Monday.
