Pitt quarterback Kenny Pickett has been officially named a Heisman finalist. The announcement was made Monday night that Pickett, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud and Michigan defensive end back Aidan Hutchinson are the candidates to win the most coveted trophy in college sports. Pickett is the first Heisman finalist at Pitt since wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald in 2003. The trophy ceremony is this Saturday in New York City.
Today in Las Vegas, Slippery Rock University wide receiver Henry Litwin will be on stage with 13 other players from across the nation being recognized as finalists for the William V. Campbell Trophy, which is considered the Academic Heisman. Litwin is the only Division II player named one of the finalists.
Litwin is also a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy — the Division II version of the Heisman.
