The annual Pittsburgh Marathon will be run Sunday morning. The event features a variety of activities for runners of all ages beginning Saturday. More than 40,000 runners will be participating in the Marathon, which begins at 7am Sunday.
The course begins on Liberty Avenue between 10th and Stanwix Streets – travels through the downtown, South Side, Shady Side, Point Breeze, Homewood, Highland Park and Bloomfield neighborhoods and back to the Strip District. The finish line is at the end of the Boulevard of the Allies at Wood and Stanwix Streets.
