The USFL’s Pittsburgh Maulers will begin their 2022 season on Sunday with a game against the Tampa Bay Bandits.
Kirby Wilson, a former assistant coach with the Steelers, will be the head coach the Maulers this season. Sunday’s game, which kicks off at 8pm, will be the third and final game of the day. All USFL games will be played in Birmingham, Alabama this season.
The United States Football League was an active league from 1983 through 1985, and was reestablished in the last year. The first game of the 2022 season was played on Saturday, and saw the Birmingham Stallions beat the New Jersey Generals by a final score of 28-24.
