A popular figure of the Pittsburgh music scene has died.
Jimmy Sapienza was known for his smooth voice that led the band “Five Guys Named Moe.” Sapienza played rock, jazz, and swing music.
He was also known to play pep rallies for the Steelers and Penguins.
Sapienza most recently played the Italian Festival in downtown Butler in 2019.
Sapienza was 71.
