A new challenger to incumbent Bob Casey in the Democratic primary announced the launch of his campaign yesterday.
The Allegheny Democrat, 43-year-old Blaine Forkner from Scott Township, announced he will be challenging incumbent Bob Casey. The last time Casey was challenged in the Democratic party was 2012. Winning over 80 percent of the vote.
This is the first political office Forkner is running for and he’s running on a self-proclaimed progressive platform iIncluding universal healthcare, gun ownership reform, and free tuition for college students.
Frokner is currently an engineer and he graduate from Virginia Tech.
