The public is invited to see the Pittsburgh Zoo through the light of a new event going on now through the end of October.
The Zoo’s Asian Lantern Festival is taking place on select nights from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. to shine a light on conservation, community, and diversity.
Towering steel and silk sculptures will illuminate themes such as global species partnerships and Asian culture. This family-friendly nighttime event requires a separate ticket from daytime zoo admission.
Last month, a judge ruled that the Pittsburgh Zoo would be able to continue with their festival following a lawsuit by the Cleveland Zoo because they have a festival with the same name.
