One person is in custody and facing multiple charges following a shooting last night at the Clearview Mall.
It happened around 6:15 p.m. in the parking lot near the Rural King.
State police say 24-year-old Carlos Gonzalez Carril of Butler is accused of shooting three people—19-year-old Damian Blystone, 21-year-old Ryan Ehrman and a known juvenile who are all from Butler.
District Attorney Rich Goldinger told our newsroom that it’s alleged there was a disagreement among the group while inside the Rural King. He says everyone left the building and got into their cars.
At some point after that, Carril opened fire on the vehicle with the three victims and that all were shot.
Lifeflight was called for one victim; however police are describing the injuries to all three people as minor. All are expected to survive.
Carril is facing three counts of criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault and simple assault.
He was arraigned this morning—however Goldinger has requested that “bond be revoked and no bond be set due to the serious nature of the charges.”
