Police are investigating a homicide that happened Monday night in Muddy Creek Township.
The incident happened around 8 p.m. on East Portersville Road. Police say they arrived on the scene to find an SUV just off the side of the road in an embankment near a mining facility.
Inside the vehicle, police found an unknown man had died due to a gunshot wound.
There are currently no suspects, but police also believe this to be an isolated event and there is no public safety concern at the moment.
