Law enforcement is investigating a convenience store robbery that occurred earlier this week in neighboring Mercer County.
According to the State Police, the incident occurred at the Kwik Fill Service Station on Leesburg Grove City Road in Springfield Township.
Shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday, a white male in his 20s or 30s about six feet tall and 240 pounds entered the store with an unknown item wrapped in a dark cloth. He passed a note to the clerk demanding money. The man left driving a silver sedan, possibly a Ford Fusion or Hyundai Sonata, east in the direction of Grove City.
The man had brown hair and was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, and tennis shoes. He was also wearing a black Under Armor hat and he might have had a tattoo on the right underside of his forearm that he attempted to hide. Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact the Mercer Barracks of the State Police.
