State Police are looking for the driver of a hit and run accident in Fairview Township on Saturday, July 4, 2020.
According to the police report, a driver of a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder was driving west on Forrest Street, just north of Pigeon Street when they failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle left the roadway and traveled 125 feet before striking a wooden sign for the Bear Creek Cemetery. The vehicle then went another 16 feet before striking a concrete landscape wall.
The driver, and a passenger, left the scene. The accident happened just before 8:30 in the morning.
A witness reported the accident to police.
No description of the persons involved was given.
